For over half a century, Condor Films AG has been refining the portfolio of cultivated entertainment in Switzerland with historical and current material. Xavier Koller's “Journey of Hope” even won an Oscar in 1991.
In the post-war period, in 1947, Heinrich Fueter founds “Condor-Film A.G.”. Fueter is the husband of Anne-Marie Blanc, actress and icon of the Swiss film. Heinrich Fueter established his company within a few years. In 1964, his son Martin Fueter launched the “Reklamefilm” department and became a pioneer of Swiss advertising film. His brother, Peter-Christian Fueter, also managed the company for many years and is still considered one of the most important Swiss film producers. He was awarded an Oscar in 1991 for his film “Journey of Hope”. For over half a century, the name Condor, as a leading film production company with an international reputation, has shaped the Swiss film landscape. At the end of 2019, the tradition-rich company passed into the hands of Hans Syz as majority shareholder. Since mid-2020, Hans Syz has been managing Condor Films AG together with Susann Henggeler as executive producers.
