Deep down in the sea high-tech fiber optic cables, so-called deep-sea cables, connect the intercontinental communication. Companies are investing billions to provide the world with even stronger high-performance internet. Deep-sea cables are being targeted  by intelligent agencies , but they also increasingly attract the interest of anti-internet activists. They radically demand less surveillance and data abuse. The questions that arise: how far would these activists really go and who would join them?
